The Purse

A prize pool that grows with every entry

Each category holds its own pool, accumulated from that category’s registration fees. Every new athlete who enters makes the podium richer — and the final figures are revealed with the winners.

Example simulation — not live figures

Purely illustrative, to show how the split works. If the Open category reached 400 registrations at $50 each, its pool would hold $20,000:

1st — Gold40%$8,000
2nd — Silver15%$3,000
3rd — Bronze5%$1,000

Real pool totals depend entirely on registrations and are announced with the results on September 10, 2026.

The Second Prize

Permanent laurels on ioovc.org

Beyond the purse, winners earn publicity: winning projects and their creators are featured in the past-events section of ioovc.org — a permanent, public showcase that keeps working for your portfolio long after the closing ceremony.

The Scorecard

How the judges score

Every project receives a final score from 0 to 100, computed from four weighted criteria by the official judging committee.

C1 ×4

The Idea

Value proposition, competitive advantage, and originality. The heart of your entry — weighted heaviest.

C2 ×3

Clarity

How well the idea, its value, and its advantages are communicated. A brilliant idea poorly told scores poorly.

C3 ×2

Functionality

Does what was promised actually work? UI/UX quality, fluidity, and usability under real use.

C4 ×1

Soundness

Bugs, instabilities, accessibility gaps, and security issues. Fewer problems, higher score.

Conditions of Entry

Rules of the Games

English interface required

Your project must function with a user interface in English. Additional languages and i18n are welcome — English is the language of the Games.

Test credentials in the description

You must include a test login and password in your project description so the judging committee can evaluate the full experience.

Passwordless platform access

No passwords to remember: a One-Time Password (OTP) is emailed to you on login, and each session lasts 7 days.

Consent & eligibility

Registration requires accepting the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (GDPR/LGPD compliant), and confirming legal age (18+) or parental authorization.

University proof of enrollment

University-category winners must present valid proof of enrollment to redeem prizes. It is optional at registration — but without it at redemption, disqualification without refund.

One registration per project

You may enter as many projects as you like — each project is its own registration, paid separately.

Enquiries

Frequently asked questions

Who can enter the Games?

Anyone, anywhere in the world — the IOOVC is fully online. The Open category has no requirements beyond the entry fee. The University category is reserved for enrolled students. All entrants must accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (GDPR/LGPD) and confirm they are 18+ or have parental authorization.

Can I enter more than one project?

Yes. Each project is a separate registration with its own fee — enter as many projects as you like, even across categories, as long as each meets that category’s requirements.

How big is the prize pool?

It grows with every paid registration. Each category accumulates its own pool from that category’s fees, and the podium splits it 40% / 15% / 5% for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The final figures are announced with the winners on September 10, 2026. Any dollar amounts shown on this page are clearly labeled simulations, never live figures.

What does a University entrant need to prove?

Valid proof of enrollment at an educational institution. Uploading it at registration is optional, but presenting it is mandatory to redeem a prize — winners who cannot provide it are disqualified without refund.

What must my submission include?

A working project with a user interface in English, and a test login plus password in the project description for the judging committee. Extra languages are welcome; a missing English UI or missing credentials will cost you the evaluation.

How do I access the platform?

Passwordless login: enter your email and receive a One-Time Password (OTP). Each authenticated session lasts 7 days.

How and when are winners paid?

Winners and full scores are announced on September 10, 2026, right on this page. The organization then contacts winners by email and phone to arrange prize payout, until October 10, 2026.
