Prize poolioovc prizes --distribution

Each category accumulates its own prize pool from its registration fees — and every new registration makes it bigger. The top three in each category take a fixed percentage of that accumulated pool.

distribution applies independently to the University pool and the Open pool

Frequently asked questionsioovc faq

What exactly is the IOOVC?

The International Olympics of Vibe Coding — a fully online, worldwide competition for vibe-coded projects. You register, ship a project, a judging committee scores it from 0 to 100, and the top three per category split cash from that category's prize pool. Winners also get permanent visibility on ioovc.org.

How does the prize pool grow?

Every paid registration adds its full fee to its category's pool: $25 per University registration, $50 per Open registration. Prizes are percentages of the accumulated pool — 40% for 1st, 15% for 2nd, 5% for 3rd — so the more participants join, the bigger the payout. No fixed amounts are promised; the live counter on this page tracks how the edition is growing.

Can I enter more than one project?

Yes. Register once per project — as many times as you want. Each registration is a separate entry with its own fee, paid separately via Stripe.

I am a university student. What proof do I need?

Proof of enrollment is optional at registration but mandatory to redeem a prize. If you win in the University category and cannot present valid proof, you are disqualified without refund. If you are unsure about your status, register in the Open category instead.

What do winners get besides cash?

Publicity. Winning projects and their creators are featured on ioovc.org in the past-events section — permanent portfolio visibility you can link from your CV, socials and pitch decks.

How do judges access my project?

Through the test login + password you are required to include in your project description. Make sure the credentials work and that the interface functions in English — projects the committee cannot use cannot score well.

How do I log in to the platform?

Passwordless. Enter your email and a One-Time Password (OTP) is sent to you. Once verified, your session lasts 7 days.

When and how do winners get paid?

Winners and scores are announced on September 10, 2026, right on this page. The organization then contacts winners via email/phone until October 10, 2026 to arrange the prize payout.
