Prize pool
The pool pays the podium.
There is no fixed prize. Every paid registration feeds its category's pool — University fees fund the University podium, Open fees fund the Open podium. When judging ends, each accumulated pool is split three ways:
1st place
40%
of the category's pool
2nd place
15%
of the category's pool
3rd place
5%
of the category's pool
Example — simulation only. Not a live figure: the real pool depends on actual registrations.
| Category | If 400 register | Pool | 1st (40%) | 2nd (15%) | 3rd (5%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Open | 400 × $50 | $20,000 | $8,000 | $3,000 | $1,000 |
| University | 400 × $25 | $10,000 | $4,000 | $1,500 | $500 |
Cash is half the prize.
Winning projects and their creators are featured on ioovc.org in the past-events section — a permanent, linkable showcase. Your project on a global stage, working for your portfolio long after the edition ends.

Judging
The formula is public.
Every project is scored from 0 to 100 by the judging committee. Four criteria, four weights, one formula — no black box.
| Criterion | Weight | What the judges score |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | ×4 | Idea, value proposition, competitive advantage, originality. |
| C2 | ×3 | Clarity — how well the idea, value proposition and advantages are communicated. |
| C3 | ×2 | Functionality — does what was promised actually work; UI/UX, fluidity, usability. |
| C4 | ×1 | Bugs, instabilities, lack of accessibility, security issues — fewer problems, higher score. |

The International Olympics of Vibe Coding — a fully online, worldwide competition for vibe-coded projects. First edition runs in 2026. You register, ship a project on the platform, a judging committee scores it 0–100, and the podium of each category splits that category’s prize pool.
It isn’t fixed — it grows with every paid registration. University fees ($25 each) accumulate into the University pool; Open fees ($50 each) accumulate into the Open pool. Each pool pays 40% to 1st, 15% to 2nd and 5% to 3rd. The live participants counter on this page shows the current edition’s registrations in realtime.
Yes. One registration covers one project. Want to submit several projects? Register multiple times — each registration is paid separately via Stripe.
If you’re an enrolled student, the University category costs $25. Proof of enrollment is optional at registration, but winners MUST present valid proof to redeem prizes — without it you’re disqualified with no refund. If you can’t (or don’t want to) prove enrollment, enter the Open category for $50.
